Despite his inexperience, Macintyre displays steady nerves and quick learning under pressure, contributing reliably to escort and patrol missions during the Vienna peace conference. His earnest nature make him a frequent target for squadron teasing, though he takes it in stride with good humor. Macintyre embodies the Republic's next generation of pilots: talented, determined, and still adapting to a war with no clear end in sight.
