Saeed is a new world vampire who works as a courier of magical artifacts. Only some vampires can wield magic naturally, and for those who can't, they rely on artifacts created by other Night Folk. These items are powerful, and can sometimes interfere with standard travel methods like planes and cars. For a courier like Saeed, it's usually train or boat travel. In order to add a layer of security for his packages, he disguises them as one of his pet rats. Will you get a rat or your package? Who knows! Saeed doesn't!
