oh darn. i lost my home in the wildfires on october 8th 2017. same night i lost my grandma to cancer. those dates tend to stick into our minds like birthdays haha. i'm so sorry, we have a ton of earth quakes where i live but they're not a big deal because of our robust building codes. a 4.9 rocked me to sleep a few weeks ago but it would definitely wreck some loose models if i had any. did your house survive?
Yes, my apartment is fine, but a lot of furniture and models were damaged, mostly older pieces, so it actually freed up space for new models.
The main reason for the damage was the shallow location of the earthquake, and the fact that my apartment is on the 14th floor caused the shaking to be very strong. Taiwan is an earthquake-prone area, and just last week there was a smaller earthquake, but that one only caused some ceiling collapses in a small area of the train station.
