So I've always sorta liked those sorta semi-chibi bodies some artists do, where the characters will be only four or five heads tall, but have nice, thick limbs. I've been meanin' to try doing a drawing in that style, but I've only now gotten to it. My art here is very rough as I'm sure you can see, but I think it's good I'm at least starting to sort of possibly maybe perhaps by a slim chance potentially understand the form a wee bit more? For transparency, I did not magic this up from just my imagination (I don't have that power yet), I studied an artwork from an artist I keep up with, @foresttherotten, and drew a mannequin over the drawing, marking how many heads tall it was, where the limbs connected, and the rough shape of the pelvis and ribcage shapes. I then used the mannequin as a body reference to sketch this drawing. I'm not so sure I've got the hang of it yet, but I want to try and switch my style over to doin' 4-5 head-tall OC's and characters. I'mma try and make it a goal to get that down this year.
