Whereas desert hares are normally very small fragile nervous creatures, doctor Ko has spent decades of his so far 50 year life researching how to transcend the biology of his species. Not only has life goal been met with success but it has transcended even his expectations, as not only has he exceeded the size, strength, and speed of his normally diminutive species, he also has achieved a state of cellular immortality , as any lost body parts will rapidly regenerate after being lost. However such a cellular state requires a tremendous biological “fuel” source, which in a further cruel twist of irony he sustains by eating the flesh of other meat eating animals, turning him from a normally vegetarian herbivorous species to a violent carnivorous one
