I can't believe it took me this long to notice the Culver City/La Brea Tar Pits reference in Culver's name!

I'm from L.A. originally; my father used to work in Culver City.

(For those of you who aren't former Angelenos: Culver City is just a few miles from the La Brea Tar Pits, where the remains of a lot of prehistoric animals have been found, including at least one saber-toothed cat. Smilodon fatalis is the state fossil of California.)
