π± Autelius, Guardian of the Forgotten Ruins
He wasn't always an exile. ποΈ In the ancient chronicles of the Highlands, legends speak of a warrior whose mere presence could calm the tides and still the fiercest storms. Autelius now wanders among the remains of a civilization he once swore to protectβa colossus of bronze scales and crimson wings carrying the weight of centuries of solitude. ππ
While his powerful build suggests the raw strength of a conqueror, his true essence flows like the river he guards. π Autelius possesses the gift of Ancestral Hydromancy: he can shape water to his will, turning a peaceful stream into a high-pressure whip capable of shattering stone, or simply summoning a mist to heal the parched earth. π± It is said that the waters in these ruins don't flow due to gravity, but because he allows them to find their path, keeping the magic of a forgotten kingdom alive. β¨π§

With this design of Autelius, I wanted to explore the aesthetic of detailed pixel art. πΎ For this piece, I was inspired by the low-angle perspective Iβve seen from many talented artists, aiming to give Autelius a much more imposing and heroic presence. ποΈπ₯
Looking back, Iβm aware that I missed quite a bit of shading to fully define the volume and lighting at the time, but thatβs something Iβve been learning and refining bit by bit ever since. π
