Worldbuilding. Those are creatures from Vexus, fancy ass creatures. Due to environmental Pressure and Gene splicing - those became cunning beasts, that dwell in the deep forests. Making the industrial world inaccessible outside the Hive-City landing pads. A mean to defend the hives, became a problem, as they make live outside the Cities impossible. Also, they adept by devouring prey and be able to access certain traits. Higher intelligence and shapeshifting made them a Bane. Younger creatures will successfully sneak into underhives and terrorize the local areas. It backfired. Githrax are usually the "feral beasts" while Gethrix often are more humanoid in shape and behavior.
