"When morning came, Blaze sat Pecha down and had her eat breakfast. Once she finished, he shifted some, holding a purple ribbon in his tail. "...Listen Pecha... I have something to tell you." Blaze said. She looked up at him. "Did they find my parents?!" She asked, excited, but at the look that Blaze had on his face she frowned. "...Pecha..... They.... were swept away by a flash flood... They're gone..." He said.
"..W-what?" She said, shock on her face. "...Gone? What do you mean?" She asked. Blaze only shook his head and looked down. Realizing what he meant, she shook her head and started to cry. "T-they can't be gone! They were just fine when I left!" She sobbed. Blaze then pulled Pecha into a hug. "...I'm sorry Pecha..." He said.
She continued to cry. She couldn't believe it. Her parents were gone? She wouldn't ever see them again? Spend time with them? Why did this have to happen!? She cried harder and Blaze just held her close to comfort her. After a while she stopped crying as hard. "...I-It's all m-my f-fault.... I-I shouldn't of r-ran o-off.... That H-houndour should have e-eaten me." She sobbed.
Blaze frowned and pulled her away so that he could look at her face and she look at his. "Don't you ever say that! This was not your fault. If you had been with them, you would've been swept away as well. This was just an accident that could happen to anyone." He said. "You're alive for a reason Pecha. Appreciate that you're alive and well... Your parents maybe gone... but do you really think they would want you to blame yourself for their deaths?" He asked. Pecha frowned and shook her head. "They'd want you to move on Pecha. You're a special lil' girl made for great things. You can't keep your head down... ok?" He said. "...O-ok.." Pecha sniffed. "I-I'll try...." She said. "Good...Now I have something I want to ask you." Blaze said. "
