Went ahead and did a "Meet The Artist" post to bring in the new year! It was pretty hard trying to whittle down my favorite media because I have so many but I think I was able to condense it to give off the general vibe I gravitate towards haha.

Yep! I mean granted, as far as Tekken goes, it's in a state of limbo as I haven't really been "feeling" the series since Tekken 6 but I will always have cherished memories of the early games and they still live in my head and memories to the point where I still consider myself a fan of the series, even if it's for the old school era of Tekken haha.
Yeah, I admit that Shirley's meltdown was a bit hard to watch/listen to, especially because she didn't apologize to the fan who was a genuine fan of theirs but reflecting on it, she was going through a genuinely hard time in 2025 as she lost her best friend, her beloved dog, and her father (the last surviving parent of hers) all around that time so she was definitely not in a great headspace. And because she doesn't have a history of being mean-spiritied to her fans, I'm letting it slide and just chalking it up to wrecked mental health because of all that she was going through.
Because Garbage's music really means a lot to me and have for the past 25+ years, they are my comfort band and unless they do something truly awful, I'm not going to stop loving them <3

Yeah people on the internet need to realise musicians, celebs etc are still people with lives and emotions. I've snapped at less but people understand. Why can't it pass for them also?

Well from what I observed, it's a certain type of people who were lobbing on the hate on her if you know what I mean...
And oh my gosh, yes! I was following American Mcgee's campaign for the new game and was so ecstatic when he had the design bible nearly completed. EA just sucks major ass for not letting AE produce that new Alice game and I really wish they'd let go of the rights so that American can take the game franchise to a company who actually wants to work with it.

It would bring so many fans of Gothic aesthetic and gamers together. Spread the genres out! But nooo, stick to your sports and military shooters.

Ywah pretty much, the guys who cry "woke". It was insane to me how much the controversy blew up with these guys and they were making all kinds of misogynistic comments aimed at her from her age to her older appearance (the woman is pushing 60, geez). It was just gross. Again, it sucked that she had that meltdown and didn't apologize but for anyone who had been following what been going on, plus her past of not being that way towards her fans, it's just obvious that she's not this horrible person like those guys were trying to paint her as.
And for real! There is such a lack of gothic-fantasy inspired games and a game like Alice would be nice to have ocme back. And exactly, they already do enough with COD, so why can't they lgive Alice it's time to shine again, it's been a decade and a half and there is still itnerest in the series.
