Hunter originally was meant to be turned in another coven. He had spent most of his youth doing the coven's dirt work, killing those who threatened the coven's secrets. While working as a bouncer for another fledgling's introduction party, Hunter happened to meet a very beautiful vampire. Unbeknownst to him, said vampire was William Kastor, lieutenant of New York City.

Forging a very friendly relationship with Mr. Kastor's "princesses", Hunter was a common face at Kastor Manor. Unfortunately, or fortunately, for him he was in a devastating car accident on his way home from one of his visits to Kastor Manor. William had no choice but to turn Hunter lest he die.

With his new place in Kastor Coven, Hunter is fiercely loyal, happy to be William's second and lover as the years have gone on.
