Powers:
Enchantment: Jove has the ability to enchant things without the need of special equipment. By writing runes on an object or person, he is able to enchant them, which can do a number of things. The only problem is, with the exception of himself, his enchantments on others tend to not last long, and aren’t as strong.

Magical contracts: Jove is able to create contracts between himself and others. These contracts are absolute and can not be defined, even should he pass. The only way it can be is by finding a loophole in the contract, usually wording, or Jove destroys it himself. Jove can also form contracts from beating someone in a game, resulting in them owning him a small favor to be cashed in at a later date.

Miscellaneous: due to the use of his contracts, Jove has gained a few additional powers over his life. They are as follows: able to speak with mouth closed (Or full with food), able to create a few ghost hands, able to summon small items, can switch to thermal vision and back as well, can read anything he sees without worry about a language barrier, able to see things from very far away, able to notice tiny details others would miss, perfect health, and always knows which way is north and which way is up.

Biology: Jove is mostly a normal raccoon, with a few differences. He has black sclera due to his life partner contract with Arthur, he has a couple of runes printed onto his body, name his cheeks and belly, and due to a contract, he is extremely overweight, to the point of barely mobile, but can not gain or lose weight, unless he wears a certain ring, no matter how hard he tries. Removing said ring will cause his weight to jump back to normal in an instant, no matter how drastic the difference in weight is.

Likes: eating, games (any kind), sleeping, reading, spending time with Arthur, being squished, belly drumming, enchanting, and learning

Hates: exercise, starving getting stuck in places, rolling, super easy games, cheating, pointless arguments, and keeping secrets

Contract Index: Something Jove got from a contact from another cosmic being. Jove can open any book, scroll, or as he uses it nowadays, an app he can open on his phone to keep track of any favors he has with others and can cash them in to gain information without their knowledge or, in rare cases, implant a subconscious thought in them to make them do something.

Ring earring: Jove has a ring in his ear that matches the one Arthur has. This ring is the symbol of a magic contract between him and Arthur, which connects their lives to each other, so if one dies, the other does. Or it would, but Jove made a change to it. It still works the same, but if Jove dies, Arthur won’t. And in exchange for that, Jove has a similar life span as Arthur. They are each other’s life partners.

Weight ring: This ring is part of a contract he made with another spirit. Jove’s weight is stuck at 1,250 lbs, where he is barely mobile. However, when he wears this ring, he can gain or lose weight as he sees fit. Once he removes the ring, his weight will pop back to 1,250lbs, no matter how drastic the change is, up or down.

Backstory: many, many years ago, Jove lived a peaceful life with his tribe of fellow rune raccoons. He spent his days helping out his tribe and enchanting things. However, one day his homeland got caught up in the crossfire between two cosmic forces. Luckily, Jove was rescued by Arthur, but he was the only one. Spurred by a want to avenge his people, Jove offered to enchant weapons for them. Over time, Jove and Arthur formed a bond, and by the time the war ended, just as Arthur was about to leave, Jove asked him to stay, because he was afraid to be alone. Arthur accepted and formed a life partner contract with him. Nowadays, Jove lives a peaceful life, gaming, working freelance as an enchanter, and enjoying his life, just several hundred pounds heavier. But he enjoys it as well, and especially enjoys hanging out with Arthur, his best friend and life partner. Jove worries when Arthur goes to fight cosmic forces, but when he returns, he’s so happy. Now that he has Arthur, he feels a sense of wholeness that wasn’t there before he met him.
