Cailey ref. Edited to fix a few things that were bothering me. Reproportioned her head slightly
I wonder if "cutie marks" is a trademarked term. XD
I think this ref looks more complete now.

I always find it amusing when people assign 'age' to a complete fantasy creation such as this.
Age, is determined by the number of orbits the planet Earth takes around the sun.
So, What's to say this creature even exists on this planet at all? Perhaps where they come from, a 'year' of their time could be considered three here. It's completely ambiguous and coupled with the fact that it's clearly not human, she could be 400 years, or a week old, it's impossible to tell.
At any rate, well done. On a side note I'm glad that you actually incorporated the tail properly into the body structure, allowing for it's size and the fact that it's a continuation of the spine. Far too often tails are just a afterthought stapled on a characters backside.

Er actually when bodies (animal or human) mature they change proportions, so there is still some 'truth' behind assigning "ages" to bodies. Afterall, humanoid is human-like (anthropomorphizing is giving human qualities to) and humans do visibly mature through their size (often, but not always) and proportion changes.
Well, like i said to someone yesterday... Given some of the weird things out there on this site, i could see that assumption being made. ...I'm sure there's navel fetish art mere clicks away on FA that has bellybuttons which are exaggerated into being weird linty pits one could put their arm into. lol... bleh. :P
Apologies for the mental imagery... and thanks! <3

lol as disturbing as that thought is, ive seen much worse!
made me laugh though... oh the furries
but yes people need to learn to appreciate a properly drawn pouch, ive always drawn them purposefully wrong just so people could tell what it was, but i think i should help spread the pouch accuracy!

Kudos to you. Even in a deliberately "toony" character you still manage more natural correct detailedness than anyone else. And it looks "just right".
I have to say though the "tail goes here" bit looks a bit weird to people like me, who are into the "detachable" kink ;) But that's probably just me since I write a story about that these days. ;) Would be even weirder if she was a lizard (you know, the kind that can drop their tail in emergency ) but lets not go there too much ;)
As I wrote before, I like the face. She looks intelligent and curious, and in some way "wise" for her age. Which fits the character description exactly (now that I have finally read it)
I think its the eyes.

wow, you fixed the face in the frontal view, i think? looks better to me today, but i don't have the old image for comparison =/ panties are cute and suit her =3 you mentioned her head being too large above? if so, it looks within the range of normal and also helps with the cute. this is just a great picture.
Very nice.
Heh. Allaze-eroler has an interesting point. Though I think you already worked through what that might mean in your head a lot better already.
My own artwork is far far too inbetween in practicing it. But once upon a time I needed to make stegopony baby for myself and a mare mate. The extremes of differences there almost meant I had to design a moderately adult one, and then go back and adapt that to where the differences would be as chubby little baby. :)

Did you have an internal debate as to whether to include a cross-section of tailbone with that rear view, before you settled on a little cross? It looks like you put so much work into the meat of it. Either way, that's a refreshing angle to take on with a character sheet.
Funny you ask, because when i was first sketching this i drew a little vertebra in there :P But i didn't feel like referencing it to make it accurate, so i opted for the half-symbolic representation.
I just think it's funny when i see ref sheets of peoples' characters and there are limbs amputated so as to not obscure stuff. ...Ouch! So i had to at least make mine a little bit more realistic than just a circle with an X in it. It made me laugh a little. XD

That's a feature of actual kangaroos, yes. The grooming claw! It's two digits fused together. I've found that most people who draw roos omit it (probably because they don't realize it exists - it's pretty hard to see in most photos, and is a bit exaggerated in Cailey here)
