Oh I love this! The first thing that struck me was the difference in hue of green on their skin. Younger Leo is much brighter, with a neon look from the blue glow of his portals. Older Leo is lit more by Mikey's orange portal behind him, leaving a less saturated and more muted tone.

I love their expressions and how their poses tell a lot about how they feel. Great job!

I'm glad you noticed the color difference and that you like the picture! I was worried to post this bc I never do backround stuff and didn't even know if that rock looked like a rock haha. But I wanted to add the "green living bright" side and the "cold blody dead" hh.

More abstract scenery/background is totally fine! The characters are the focus, and anything else is only supporting them. 💜
