Future story idea? After pretty much being publicly humiliated by her own mother no less, at an art exhibition, Brooks parents were hosting. Brooks mother always accused her of being an attention seeker. This was never the case, yet her mother never saw it that way. Showing up to an exhibition 5-6 months pregnant really pushed her mother over the edge. Brooks was trying her best to be civil and explain what was going on in the complexity of events that lead to the situation, currently planned on being explained in my next story, tempers flared and her mother called her an attention seeking whore. After leaving with tears in her eyes, running into to some of her former commanding officers, who spoke up on her behalf, pretty much reversing the tables on her mother. Brooks made it home and headed straight to bed. When Gina gets home she notices the dress Brooks was wearing thrown haphazardly on the floor, and muffled sobbing coming from Brooks Room. Her door wasn't closed so she just peeked in, her silhouette just barely being noticed by Brooks. As she goes to leave thinking Brooks is asleep she hears,"Stay" followed by a very meek "please." The relationship they had formed over their time together in and out of the military, she climbed into the bed, and put her arms around her. Gina then whispered into Brooks ear. "I got your six, now, and always." They proceeded to drift off to sleep.
