This is honestly something I'm surprised I never got sooner. Hopper has always been a synthetic Deathclaw, a Synthclaw, if you will, but I've never had a proper representation of that until now. This is a design for his mechanical endoskeleton, fairly heavily inspired by the Terminator. While he is capable of functioning purely in this raw state, he usually has a layer of artificial muscle, blood, skin and scales layered on top, complete with artificial organs inside. He prefers to keep up the appearance, as the added organic parts enables him to properly feel, taste, and smell the world around for what it is, rather than those concepts existing as pure data points.

Originally designed as a stronger and more easily controlled version of the common Deathclaw, the Synthclaw prototype seemingly went rogue, destroyed its creator during the final phase of testing, and broke out of containment before fleeing into the wasteland. Unbeknownst to everyone else, its creator had secretly uploaded a copy of himself into it, opting to sacrifice his original self to escape confinement. With its creator seemingly gone, and all files destroyed in the containment breach, the project was scrapped barring a few even older prototypes...
