There are fae in these woods. Not those tiny little fairies, no—these are beings of a realm parallel to ours, a realm from which "nature" is said to have been given as a gift to our own mundane plane. They are whimsical, neither friend nor foe until you make them so. Among them is a fae that seems to bleed, their very flesh the color of our sanguine life. Give it a drop of your blood, and you may find yourself with a gift in exchange. However... do not drink the crimson they weep. If they offer, you must decline. ... What happens if you do? I hope you shall not find out, my friend.
