Akki often have a high resilience against psionics, and rarely a affinity for it themselves. But by the Edict of Kath, they're separated ones those abilities show themselves, to Join the Sisterhood of Solance or live in exile. The sisters often learn first aid and use their Abilities to mend wounds, living a ascetic lifestyle only allowed to take coin as offerings (Which are valuble). Only if a Sister collects enough coins to offer Kath's shrine, she's allowed to return to the tribe.
While this seems harsh, wild and untrained Psionic abilities are extremly dangerous. So they room the wasteland, offering their medical services to the underhive, in hope of receiving an adequate token of kindness.
Rarely someone dares to attack the rooming sisters, but those who dare, quickly realize - attacking a Squad of highly trained woman that survive the Wasteland on their own, with powers that are often are described as supernatural - is not a good idea. While the sisterhood usually remains peaceful, they're formidable warriors, ones provoked.
