Yeah but that's part of why I found the idea so intriguing. Corcyceps are a real nightmare fuel sort of thing when you look at just what they do to infected bugs, hell that's why it inspired a unique sort of zombie for TLoU. Twist the idea of them into something symbiotic but still unnerving and corruptive. Even if they don't damage the host and maybe provide benefits, it can still be paired with behavior or physical changes that could be negative if not managed well. Like the cordyceps inducing a desire to spread as they do irl, or producing a spore like mist at times.
