Lopin is 100% a precious cinnamon roll, but he also A) is perfectly willing to shed blood if someone threatens his hat (entirely justified, this is not a criticism), and B) is the person who introduced ZHAT ZHING to the story. Lopin is completely harmless right up until he isn't, and that's what's terrifying about him.
We know that she's a hybrid (Ran correctly clocked her as half-something but was shushed by her before he could reveal the secret), so the healing factor might be a unique result of that
Or it just doesn't include her because her concept of "normal people" is normalised to the context of Val Salia where indeed she is not normal, being (as far as we know) the only one of her kind.

We can infer some other things from this:
- Whatever she is half-of, the well-read Ran recognised but no-one else does, so it must be something obscure and not from that part of the world.
- So we haven't seen one, at least not yet.
I do wonder if this is because she deliberately travelled far enough that people wouldn't be able to recognise her and the 'mountain elf' cover story would actually pass.

Also, can we try to appreciate how Kal looking down on Kass from that perspective on the floor must feel?
It's not a big jump from looking up at a Xenomorph about to bite you in the face with its second jaw. Just a big alien-looking face that's not exactly expressive, looming over and looking down on you.
But thankfully he's a good boi.

I wonder if all these gestures with his pedipalps / face tendrils is an etiquette he's taught himself to soften his appearance. Looking back I think he's the only baxxid who even moves them independently, I bet it took a lot of practice. Probably while looking in the mirror and practicing pick up lines for Nell >,.>
When I was stationed on the Reuben James, people were always moving about, and corners were quite blind. And with all the ambient noise, you had no clue if someone was coming around the other way.
So I developed a habit of extending my hand as I approached any corner, and angling my fingers in the direction of travel. If I was going to turn left, I angled my fingers left, pointing down the hallway, towards anyone who might be approaching. If I was going straight, I'd just point straight ahead.
This simple little habit spared me many collisions during my career, and it's a habit I retain to this day. And, just as back then, it still spares me collisions as I navigate crowded grocery and box stores, but especially public restrooms.
This is because public restrooms have those annoying privacy passages that allow people to enter and exit freely, but give you no clue as to who might be coming.
I'll be approaching the turn, stick my hand out, and someone on the other side will stop short, looking surprised?
But no collision.

It could also be that because Kass constantly spent time trying to downplay his own worries, concerns, and injuries, he simply thought it was bravado on Isher's part. Like, "Yes, yes, we know you're a big, strong, tough girl Isher, but seriously, you need to take time to properly heal."
Hah, would be interesting if Cass instead turned into whatever Isher's specie is. For her, steam would be puffing out of her ears. While Cass, if he got seriously wounded it would have him go - "AAAA, medic! MEEEDIIIC! Heeelp! I'm gonna dieeee! Not like this!" and it would be a great exaggeration, Isher would be like "Huh? Wut? That's but a scratch, calm down. Wow, I never thought you were this hysteric..."
