This has been my life for the past four or five years. I now need at best a cane to get around in town and at worst I have to pull out the walker. Most stores offer the electric shopping carts; but at busy times teens and twenties are frequently joyriding the aisles of the store. People will sometime notice me and offer to reach products off the shelf for me (I can stand up, just not for very long). Others ignore me, get in the way or block aisles.

The worst are the Karens. They stand in my way and demand to know what's 'wrong' with me. They deride me and tell me to "Go back to the home." As if I'm inconveniencing them somehow. Sometimes I go shopping with my girlfriend and she takes on the Karens and can usually send them running. Her PhD in Psychology pays dividends...

aw man, those Karens are an annoying lot. I want to say we don't have them in germany, but that would be a lie; our society becomes more and more unempathic and "who cares", and surely Karens will pop up more visibly.
I used to watch a few videos with Karens in them, but had to stop. it's destroying my mood. I wanna slap them silly until their heads fall off... or my hand.

sounds a lot like the inability to take disabled persons serious. I try my best in that, but I'm only a human, too. at least I try...

As a fellow autistic/ADHD/OCDer, I feel like I am having to put in overdrive a lot of the time. When I think I have learned all the rules (whether in a group, in a fandom, or in society), a new one comes up that is considered a grave sin in the eyes of the others. No defense allowed, no explanation, learn your place.

That makes me seethe.
