Short king and his terrifying wife
To be fair, Gene is half Duck Toller and only weighs about 40 pounds soaking wet and Valkyrie is half Saint Bernard with a form of gigantism and weighs around 250.
Gene is Duck Toller/Kishu/Akita (American and Japanese) and Valkyrie is Saint Bernard/Smooth Collie/Bull Terrier. Main characters from my Ginga fan series Northern Thunder Gene.
Gene is tiny, and not exactly confident or heroic, though he's forced to be both. He prefers peace, but isn't opposed to killing because sometimes it needs doing.
Val is the type of dog who bites first and asks questions later. She's ripped the bumpers off cars. She's also the dog who was the most protective of Gav, being a skinny, scrawny runaway human and saved his ass on more than one occasion.
