These environments are really beautiful. I noticed the paisley fur patterns and went back to look at the earlier pages for the first time in a while: I forgot that it started out in monochrome and have been gradually adding more and more color.
Introducing a scavenged deer(?) leg to echo the injured arm from the last few pages makes the upturned swoop of white hair evoke a white tailed deer in flight, especially in the first panel here.
