Smol addition to this:
If either of them come to you unannounced and without you recently messaging them first? No matter which artist they claim to me? Simply ask them to note you on FA from their profile. If they for any reason refuse? It's a scam. No artist would ever refuse in this time of scammer saturation to prove to anyone they're the legit one!

This ultimately was what I did.
The other give away was... well I had a comission from Lunari in the past, and the way Sammy and Lunari handle payments via PayPal were via invoices. So, not only were the addresses different, but the way receiving money was also different.
The scammer I had apperently had been flagged by PayPal themselves enough to block payments outright. Their story (before they deleted it) was that they were going on an event in March and wanted to early complete the auction.
...Which didn't make sense since nothing was posted on the YCH. That's why I sent a note to play it safe.

A funny story: I'm not an artist, I'm just a simple Gmod user. Despite this, someone approached me asking for a commission. It was a shock, especially since I've never received a commission request or art trade before. He asked for my Discord account, and it turned out he was a scammer. It bothered me, but it was also a lesson for me
