This little menace is the most curious of the Valkyrie sisters. Although she's the fourth Valkyrie in the current cycle (after Astrid, Hildr, and Gunnr) she's actually the oldest and the only one originally born to a previous cycle. A primordial creature in terms of the world’s make, a demi-beast from around 1200 years ago, it’s unclear whether Sigrun hails from Uhrwecht itself or another realm entirely. Her parentage is one-half divine through the Allfather, the other half mortal, and she's the only Valkyrie of the five current sisters who's a mythical creature as a result, combining features of bird and beast into gryphon form. As part of a previous cycle of Valkyrie she was granted white wings and served until that cycle ended with a grand catastrophe conceptually regarded as an iteration of Ragnarok. During that cycle’s decline, Sigrun’s defeat corrupted her into a fallen Valkyrie who came to serve the dark realms until the era declined into a period of low magic and relatively minimal divine influence.

In the current cycle of Uhrwecht mythos, around 70 years after Gunnr's ascension, the branches of the world tree began to sway in the cosmic wind and an event known as the Crossing caused the realms to bleed into one another. Sigrun was one of the foes that was carried across the plane and, with the revived power of the pantheon, Astrid, Hildr and Gunnr were able to conduct a ritual which cleansed her of her ties to the dark realms and redeem her as one of their own. Although the Crossing eventually faded, whether by external means or the efforts of the Valkyrie, the signs of co-mingling branches remained and gave rise to many of the dark magics that linger in Uhrwecht to this day. Sigrun still retains her dark, fallen Valkyrie wings, a mark that will never leave her, but she is otherwise a sister like the rest in every facet.

Combat-wise, Sigrun is the most experienced and effective fighter in terms of pure skill, especially considering her size, and though she’s not as damaging as Vyldris' fury nor has the power of Astrid's resolve, she is the most knowledgeable of battle arts and has helped teach her sisters in the ever-continued honing of their abilities. In addition to spear she prefers the double axes and she clothes herself in her favorite color - a mystic purple - with ancient patterns representing intertwining realms and insignias unknown to Uhrwecht folk. She can also speak a strange language unintelligible to her sisters, one which Gunnr has conducted so-far fruitless research on, and she’ll frequently retreat into that dialect when annoyed or, more commonly, to disturb the others in jest. Of the five current girls she's the biggest freak in attitude, easily amused and jovial but also teasing, sarcastic and not altogether difficult to anger, either. She retains great respect for her sisters, however, and is always well-behaved when they require it. In addition to mortal-shuffling duties given to all Valkyrie, Sigrun is the most important liaison between the Valkyries in their Valiant realm, the other realms, and the God realms, and as a result spends the least amount of time at the Valiant Hall. Despite her primeval origins and quirky nature she gets along with her sisters to the highest degree and is as inseparable from them as any other.
