Since TCGs and the nostalgic animes that pushed them are also my fixation this week, decided I'd practice this art style on one of my favorite Yugioh monsters. Tbh, he's actually even cooler than most people realize as despite being a card in Joey's deck, he was arguably Yugi's best 4D chess play of the entire series. And I don't just mean because when they dueled each other Time Wizard's effect turned Dark Magician into Dark Sage, that was hype as hell too, but where did Joey get the Time Wizard? Yugi gave it to him on the boat, and no deck editing was allowed in Duelist Kingdom, all cards not in the participants' decks were to be left on the boat, that's why Bandit Kieth bringing multiple decks was considered cheating, which means Yugi had been carrying Dark Sage in his deck for the entire season despite not having the card that's needed for its summoning condition. He gave that card to Joey on PURPOSE just in case they ever had to duel each other! Yugi you sly motherfucker!
