Senanca didn't cancel his toxic command on Sally, only rescheduled its deadline a bit. Which makes Sally falsely believe that he's a compassionate person, which calms her down, which puts more distance between her and a final nervous breakdown.
In other (brutal) words: Senanca is simply maintaining his merchandise so it lasts as long as possible, to ensure they are attractive, available, and remain properly priced for customers. It's only business, disguised as something personal. A purely strategic move.
