Day 511 - February 27th, 2742

Today was the day. But before the convoy arrived, I talked to Lily, who clearly was shaken by what was about to transpire.

We spoke a bit, she confided in me how scared she was, and how unsure she was about all this. And that given the situation, she now has to shoot at people.

I comforted her the best I could, but also reminded her why we had to do this. Everything we saw committed by STEEL, and the stories we hear.

It was then that I saw that anger build up in her again. Faint, but there. I reminded Lily that she shouldn't be afraid of anger and wielder programming. She is still Lily, and will remain so as long as she retains control of them.

She gave me a serious look and then nodded.

After that, we both got into position, weapons at the ready, and waited. We both could sense the wielder's presence long before we heard the rumblings of the engines approaching.

As it came into sight, heading towards our location, Lily and I locked eyes. No words were said, but it was clear how we felt about this situation.

We were both terrified, but we knew we had to do this.
