This is concept art I did for the pirate themed D&D campaign.
The game eventually became a low population passion project that we continued for our own entertainment. The DM and I collaborated to write most events and encounters, and the direction we would try to take for the overall story.
Much later on, I had planned to have a series of steampunk western themed "spinoff" quest lines, accounting for about a quarter of overall gameplay. Set in a condemned desert with endless demons, and two evil wizards locked in battle. That sword is also deep lore, and very important to the story. My character had it when we played last, but didn't yet know it's power. He would by the time of this art.
This art was created to present the concept for the "spinoff", but it is also the only art I have of him. I wasn't very good, and wanted to do a silhouette first. This was a good excuse.
It's also one of few drawings I've done that I consider to be good.
