Ariana von Terreiko has been and will always be one of the best surprises of my writing career. She was never originally planned when I first outlined my initial 3-book trilogy structure for the Legend of Ahya series. She arose as a result of necessity during the writing of book 1 and has remained a pivotal and integral pillar of the narrative story. Legend of Ahya would not and could not exist without her. She is a counterpoint to many things Taylor Renee Wolford is. A rival, yet also antagonist and friend. She is a contradiction of emotions, motivations and purpose, yet it all makes sense when you understand her past and her reason for doing what she does.

She is a hardened character whose shell and appearance promote the impression of a badass character who doesn't take shit from nobody. Yet, over the course of the series, you see how broken and vulnerable she is as a person. The hard exterior conceals the girl underneath who just wants love and validation - of a person willing to do anything to get it, even if it means hurting others. It isn't until she meets Steven Wolford, Taylor's brother, does this exterior crack and her true personality begin to shine through. She is a fan favorite of many readers and continues to enthrall with each installment of the books. I'm exceptionally proud of this accidental, yet wonderful character I have created. She is a genuine treasure.
