So! Apparently last month was 'Fashion Month' - and as part of that, one of the chats I'm in decided to do a li'l Secret Santa style art exchange, all about designing new outfits for each other's characters!
For the exchange, I drew Miles' name - and decided to design an outfit for Suzie who they listed as wearing clothes that fit the 'Dark Academia' style! Which... I'd never heard of, so of course I wanted to give it a go!
I wanted to avoid the generic 'smart shirt, trousers, tie' approach since... well, that felt a li'l too easy, and felt I wasn't really designing anything new. As such wanted to go from something which at face value would be good for her field work as an archaeologist - dungarees and big ol' boots - and fancy them up to fit the Dark Academia style! Wound up with her looking like a rich fancy farmer, which I think kinda works!
