The world trembles and darkness spills across the sky as I draw near to my completion…
My glorious ascension!
Pain and ecstasy, it all entwines as I commune with the orb, the ancient artifact that imprisons the power of a red dragon within. I feel its fury pouring through me, into me.
My flesh torn and sundered, my pitiful kobold weakness stripped away as bones crack, lengthen, and reshape within me into something greater. My head throbs with primal energy as my jaws stretch wide, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth that gleam in the fiery light. I feel my frame swelling with savage strength, every inch of me expanding into a more terrible and glorious form. My hide splits and hardens, reforged into magnificent dragon scales, while my lesser horns are pushed out and cast aside, replaced by long, perfect dragonhorns worthy of a future draconic sovereign.
