We had taken out the other members of the convoy, and just in time too, as we both felt it. The wielder's power began to flair up again.
It came in a massive burst of energy, larger than the best of the energy cannon. Out walked the wielder from the crater. Eyes glowing. Energy burning.
But something about them seemed familiar, though at the time it wasn't yet apparent.
