M.V - Blackstone-Millis TAS-114-Y 'Stratojet'
M.V Codex Entry:
Blackstone-Millis TAS-114-Y Stratojet.
Meant to be a squadron counterpart to the TAF-104, the TAS-114 Stratojet was developed to carry a large array of ordinance loadout to handle heavier and/or pressing engagements. Harkening back to the dawn of Strike Bomber type aircraft of the 1950s, this ordinance bus has the capacity to carry most of the 'sub-main fleet' weaponry from the MMTMB (Mass Multi-Target Missile Battery) Launchers to the much larger N.O.A. 'Cruiser-Killer' Torpedoes. In the event that the Stratojet's carry capacity is not enough, the craft is equipped with a total of eight 25mm Auto Cannons for any potential strafing targets during engagements.
While the Stratojet would not be as successful as the TAF-104 Starfighter, its operation was fairly widespread throughout the latter half of the 2200s, operating as an all-around Strike Fighter with low amounts of modification. As of 2398, McNiel-Legend has since ended further development of the Stratojet, mainly to focus on their Invader and Growler series of craft. In the current year, there are still some squadrons holding on to the last model batches of these crafts, gripping tightly to the remnants of this era of Strike spacecraft.
