Well, Cobby's patience isn't endless either, as it turns out. He also was mad at Zudrec when the guys were forced to flee the city and were attacked by dragons after they was saw Cobby is a wolf. So they both educate each other... But I still can't figure out how they stayed together after the events of this novel. In Captive, as far as I remember, the wolf was more than a friend to the cougar, as follows from Zudrec's story to Gerv. However, looking at the current situation, I doubt that the cougar can stand the company of Cobby. If it wasn't for the expedition, he would have definitely chased him away.
