It's finally getting warmer where I live so to celebrate, I drew myself outside! Midwestern winters suck - the days are so short and you pretty much don't have actual sunshine for 3 months straight. It's hard to not feel a bit depressed during the whole season.

I've been listening to the album Tell Me About the Long Dark Path Home by the Newfound Interest in Connecticut a lot recently and I think it captures the feeling of winter up north very well. The whole album feels so cold, lonely, and emotional while also being profoundly beautiful. It's definitely one of my favorite albums of all time - I would absolutely recommend it if you're into midwest emo.
