i know this is just fetish art, but i would love to see a photo taken by a camera that big. the reason why phone cameras suck is that no matter how tightly packed you make the sensors, they're still limited by both sensor surface area and lens depth. i'm quite sad that phones have sort of replaced every single device for a lot of people even though phones do nothing individually "well"
I get it though. Convenience is the major factor and for most users, reaching 70-90% the task (beit taking photos, playing games, etc.) is enough. The fact it’s in a compact form factor really helps.
What I dislike personally is the disappearance of the cheap compact digicam. Those were compact enough to have convenience while having some great style. Unfortunately, they lost because Smartphones were deemed better/good enough in terms of taking photos.
