Yet another harrowing reminder, this time it’s the fact that despite how twisted their bodies have become, despite the foreign drives and instincts implanted into their heads, despite the blood on their hands, they are still the people they were in life, they’re not a mindless throng of walking plagued corpses, but individuals who must bear each of their losses with a heavy heart.
Yeah, no one wants to live in the reality where you managed to permanently down one of the zombies only to bear witness to their friend cradle their body and start to bawl uncontrollably, but sometimes you draw the short stick when it comes to the undead apocalypse.
