Und eins und zwei und Hai...
I have drawn Arielle the mermaid so often, when I was young, But never had tried to draw all her sisters. And so the idea came to my mind, that the mermaids had an embarrassing encounter with the sharkadian ambasador, a white specimen of their tribe, and in case to be on the safe side, the girls decided to tie the sharkadian up, before examining his features like the rough skin and stuff. The sharkadian doesn´t look too worried though.^///^

Looks like King Triton doesn't have anything to worry about, leaving his daughters alone like that; they can clearly take care of themselves. And I just love how *fascinated* the mermaids are of the sharkadian... who is, admittedly... rather interesting. ;D
All of the mermaids are beautiful and gorgeous and sweet and graceful, you did wonderful work copying their original designs and making them look like they're underwater. The underwater palace looks spectactular as well, very close to the original design as well! And of course, the hunky sharkadian... I just love how big and bashful he is, but also not all that secretive about enjoying this.
Haha, and poor little Flounder hiding behind Ariel all scared, and Sebastian just looks plain suspicious - like he always does! XD

Yes, Arielle´s oldest sister Attina (the one holding the rope and doing the chin lift gesture on the captive) has the closest mindset to her father and is the protective one of her sisters.
And the background is in fact the mermaids chamber in the palace. Maybe the sharkadian stumbled into their domain and they at first thought, he would have something naughty in mind.^^
