Acrylic marker on watercolor paper

Altho when I sketched this initially I was going to make it a simple celebration of genderqueer/trans joy, when I started choosing the colors I was like- ya know this is not going to be a moment of subtlety right now.

In this piece I wanted to make something very presently and overtly representing the strength and beauty of queer and trans existence when evil is so ruthlessly targeting and challenging my friends and community today. Trans is freedom and love and truth and it is light.
