Since Ascellad (the deity) is almost blind, he's being led by Nikolai into the halls of his old home: an underground labyrinth. He is to be sealed there to cause no further harm, being corrupted by pollution.

The mechanism of the labyrinth, its endless moving walls, will once again be enabled, but this time not to soothe the deity of change, but to trap him in an endless maze of hazy memories.
