The composition keeps a balance, with the torso taking up one side and the tail the other. However, the broad areas of the tail don't distract from the content heavy left side, so the eye is easily drawn to the main portion of the subject. Similarly, the legs cut out in a soft fade, which doesn't draw the eye away from the main portion of the subject, like a hard line would.
erm...if any of that made sense, let me know. I can never understand myself when talking art review mumbo jumbo.

I don't think I've ever had Molnar, but I know the sort. My FYE professor assigned more homework than any of my Real classes. She was the only reason I didn't get Dean's that semester.
I'd love to see the Sherlock Holm's pic, if/when you can do it. Tehe, gotta love a good pipe and deer-stalker cap when hunched over, following footprints.
