I have a bad feeling... Alex is facing the strongest one of the bunch, and he's clearly distracted by the fact those hounds are charging his daughter... Plus, Mira almost exhausted herself with her magic trick, so Leo would more likely guarding her, not to mention there other creatures that would charging them, which means they hardly can help Lily at the moment...
So not only he's fighting a (admittely unknown to him) literal God, but one who not only have combar training outside his powers, but also has stakes on ending this quickly so he can save his daughter? Yeah apparentlt stupid levels of arrogance is one of Chaos' "commandres" biggest flaws, least on this guy's case. Specially since most of his army was wiped out by Mira, and not only there's the other Knights, Alexander didn't even showed yet what he was planning to do before Mira obliterated most of them
