Spending all day talking to various merchants and traders was far more exhausting than Karen liked to admit, especially when she failed to nail down a new source of Azuchroma after all that work. Her mind drifted towards the town posting board every time she walked past, wondering if she could score another bag of gold from some goblin slaying or the like, the itch to increase her wealth in the back of her mind, despite her best effort to repress it.

As the sun started to dip and she found herself wandering towards the town walls with the thought of asking the commander for some work, she finally decided to call it a day before she fed the urge. She was hungry and used that as motivation to head back to the inn.

Sadly, that hunger was in control when she ordered her meal for that night, only realizing how much she ordered when she saw the bill, and she had to hand over some of her horde. That feeling was short-lived as she sat down to eat the entire side of beef, and that hunger took over again.

That Draconic hunger is acting up again; Karen might be losing her battle to stay human.
