The day was going so well, she finally found a trader who could get her some Azuchroma...in about a week...but better than nothing! So Karen couldn't help but go over and pick up a small job...what was she supposed to do for a week? sit around and try and change as little as possible...not attract attention to herself? Nah...why not make some gold to pay for the clothing she was going to have to replace? That was the reason...not increasing her horde, at least that's what she told herself. Not that it was a complete lie, gaps in between her shirt buttons had started to open up before she had even finished with the traders...and a few popped seams on her pants that appeared as she wrestled a bandit to the ground for the town guard, kept people from wondering why she was wearing such undersized clothing. They were just happy she got the thief and provided her a poster for someone they wanted her to hunt down tomorrow.

As Karen looked wistfully at the small reward she had earned today, she took note of the scales appearing on her hands and elsewhere, not to mention how clawlike her fingernails had become; she might need to cover up a bit more tomorrow.

A small but new addition to the horde for Karen, and another outfit destined for the tailors....at least her reward is slated for the repair of her clothing and not for her to sleep on...right?
