Karen's Dragon Adventure 3: Risky Rewards Pt.10
The tugging on her horns as they dug into the wooden ceiling above her was annoying, but not as annoying as how long it took her to get ready in the morning. The dozen deep marks in the wood above her, as she was too focused on covering what she could to remember to crouch all the time, as she tugged on her apparel, were evidence of that. Thankfully, she managed to get her cloak on well enough to look half decent from a distance, her wings and tail still exposed but a bit less obvious from a distance with the cloak. There was nothing she could do about being so big and tall, besides crawling around on all fours...but that seemed to be a step in the wrong direction for appearing human.
It was late morning as she squeezed out of the back doorway to the inn and set out through the alley towards the forest, away from the crowds, her face also starting to push out into a less friendly muzzle overnight. Hopefully, she would have some luck, and this would be over before walking on four legs was no longer an option.
Karen's getting a bit too big for even the Royal suite; she may have to leave town soon.
