Karen's Dragon Adventure 3: Risky Rewards Pt.11
A long day of searching did not produce the results she was looking for, not a hint of azuchroma, she would have to end up paying for that order after all, shrinking her horde. Karen had to wait around until well after dark before she could sneak back into town, her body continuing to change throughout the day, growing ever larger and more animal. The cloak was little more than a long shirt by early afternoon, and torn to shreds in a failed attempt to remove it at dusk as it gripped her like a vice. Left wearing only a set of very stretched and torn clothes underneath, she did not want to be seen sneaking back into the town. Thankful her tail only knocked over a few things in the alley as she made a lumbering dash back to the inn and squeezed through the back door again.
Karen pretty much fell into bed as she walked in, quickly curling up as much as she could on the bed that seemed so large last week. She was desperate for some sleep; all these changes were taxing on her strength, and she hadn't dared try to buy food today. She was already fast asleep when the bed gave a low groan and split under her, failing despite its larger size.
That bed might be Big, but no bed is rated for Dragons :P
