The cool blue lighting is handled beautifully here, it sets such a strong mood and gives the whole piece that quiet, late-night atmosphere. The relaxed pose and subtle expression feel really natural too, like a candid moment you just happened to catch.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you noticing that! Honestly, making a character feel natural and lifelike is one of the hardest parts for me. I often keep adjusting the pose and lighting right up until the final stages, just trying to get everything to look as real and natural as possible.

I felt this in my soul. Been there done that after struggling with boss in MGR:R.

This is one of those amazing pieces that are up to incredible interpretation.

For me, it reminds me when I was younger and struggled with anxiety and some depression. A desire to escape to the world of whatever game, but unable to bring myself to even do that, so you idle in your own mind instead, unsure of what or how to feel, what you're doing with yourself and where to go next.

Yeah! Art like this is my favorite. Interpretive storytelling, or art that tells a story on it's own, is always so good. I hope I can learn to convey that in my own work some day.

This is similar to how I look at it. The video games aren't enough to escape because at the end of the day, life is still here. The attempt at disengagement only makes things worse and the sense of impending doom eventually makes video games dissatisfying.

Yeah. Similar idea, different mindset. I think it's important to sometimes just spend a bit of time in your own head and figure stuff out, because I would agree. What's the point of escaping if you don't have something desireable to come back to?
