Our plan to go to the other side faster was genius. It was, however, foiled by two simple issues.
Firstly, we were unable to both fit at the same time.
Secondly, these rudimentary portal types have a tendency to reinterpret high-similarity things squeezing against each other as a single item when going through.
Oops.
Alternatively:
Two friendshapes make an oops and combine into one bigger friendshape.
