Given the moves description, the most likely comparison would probably be something like punching a bruise or something similar.
Honestly, I didn't usually think about the move enough to actually consider what's actually happening during it. It's not surprising it's a dark type move now that I think about it.

I mean this could also be a great way to depict when a pokemon makes use of Weakness Policy. Pokemon gets hit with a super effective move and pulls out the insurance form.
